Language, so deeply connected with emotions. To make a comment on a photo on Keri Smiths Photostream at flickr, I searched for the word "forehead". And when I found it, I bursted into tears. I remembered. The forehead hug.
It was something I only shared with Jonathan. For Jonathan it was something he only shared with me. When we hugged, I used to lay my forehead on his, just for a little moment. It made me quiet and calm. It was a way to express deep love and be close. To find peace in the other one, to arrive, to be in the moment. Whatever.
Later, back home, when we talked online via Skype, we still did it. We both touched the monitor with our foreheads syncronically to say goodbye. It was both sad and beautiful to keep this habit even with 6000 miles between us.
It is good to remember, even if it makes me cry. There was love.
